Google Analytics Fundamentals - Training Course

This half-day training course is an introduction to Google Analytics for people who have a business website, and who want to gain actionable insights into their website's performance.

The main focus of the course is help you extract meaningful information from your Google Analytics data that you can then use to improve your website and, more importantly, the results it generates for your business. We will also look at how Google Analytics works, and how to make sure it is set up correctly in your website.

This course is targeted at people who have little or no experience of using Google Analytics. A more advanced course is also available as a followup-up to this course.

Who is it for?
  • Business owners or marketing managers who want to use Google Analytics to get better results from their digital marketing.
Level: Introduction
Pre-requisites
  • You should admin access to a website with Google Analytics installed.
  • You should also have admin access to view your Google Analytics data. This is not the same as seeing data in your website dashboard. Please contact us if you need help with this.
What you'll learn:

At the end of this course, you will be able to find your way around Google Analytics. You will be able to use it to identify key information, and use that information to make measurable improvements to your digital strategy.

Course Duration and Timing:

This course will run from 9am to 12:30pm

What you should bring:

This is a hands-on course, so you should bring a device that is capable of accessing the internet. Parts of the course will involve practical exercises where you will be required to access your Google Analytics account. We recommend that you bring a laptop if possible, although a tablet will also suffice. Please advise us if you are unable to bring either.

You should also make sure you are able to log into both your website and your Google Analytics account before coming to the course. Ideally, you should access to both as a full administrator.

If you don't have access to your website or Google Analytics account, either speak to your web developer or contact us for help. There won't be time during the course to sort out issues relating to your account access.

Wifi will be available during the course. Notepaper and pens will be supplied.

Note that there is plenty of parking at the venue. We will supply you with a pass for your car on arrival, so you can park for longer than the 3 hour limit.
